CHILDREN IN CRISIS AND RYMAN PARTNER TO SELL YELLOW PENCILS

‘Our new logo, the pencil, perfectly captures the simplicity of our message; education is essential for change and the end of poverty and conflict.’

Mark O. McKeown, Chief Executive, Children in Crisis

“When I met the Duchess of York (Children in Crisis’ Founder and Life President) and she mentioned her work for Children in Crisis I had no hesitation in getting involved. Ryman is proud to support and encourage vital work with tomorrow’s business entrepreneurs”

Theo Paphitis, Owner, Ryman

As part of a £10 million education campaign, Children in Crisis and Ryman the stationer teamed up in a national campaign to sell our distinctive yellow Children in Crisis pencils for £1 each. Over a six week period Ryman raised an impressive amount, with all funds going to Children in Crisis in a bid to improve access to primary education in countries that have been devastated by war.

At the heart of the campaign is the belief that education is the single most effective way to reduce poverty in some of the world’s poorest countries. The yellow pencil represents Children in Crisis’ vision of a world where all children have access to education.
