The Virgin London Marathon (VLM) is the world's largest marathon, and the ultimate challenge you can take on for charity. The 2012 London Marathon will be held on 22nd April 2012.

Rise to the challenge and get through those grueling 26.2 miles, and raise funds to give children a real second chance in life.

We have now filled all of our Gold Bond Places to run the Virgin London Marathon 2012. If you would like to be put on the waiting list for a place please email us at events@childrenincrisis.org

The ballot will be announced in October 2011. If you have secured your own place in the ballot we would love you to join the Children in Crisis London Marathon Team as an own place runner, and help raise funds to support our work in conflict and post-conflict countries across the world.London Marathon Places

As a member of the Children in Crisis London Marathon 2012 running team you will receive:

• a full fundraising pack with sponsorship forms and helpful tips to help you smash your sponsorship target
• an extensive training pack for runners of all levels, and weekly training PDFs from our Marathon expert
• a dedicated Children in Crisis fundraiser providing unlimited support, advice and guidance
• fundraising materials such as balloons, posters or collection boxes
