A warm welcome to everyone who has just signed up to supporting Children in Crisis with a monthly direct debit. And huge thanks also for taking the time to talk to one of our fundraisers on your door step!
Our face-to-face campaign started on 20th June and has ended on 12th August 2011 using professional agency Care2Give to recruit new supporters. We will resume our door-to-door campaign in Leeds from 3rd October 2011. The Care2Give fundraisers will be operating at various pre-arranged sites from week to week across the Leeds area during the Autumn. Face-to-face fundraising is the most cost effective method for many small to medium size charities like Children in Crisis because it allows us to reach many more people than would otherwise know about our work.
The main aim of these campaigns is to recruit donors who are happy to give long-term, regular, committed financial support to Children in Crisis via direct debit. This form of support is absolutely vital because it helps us plan ahead with confidence so we can keep our promises to the deserving communities we work with.
By supporting the work of Children in Crisis you are choosing to help the most isolated, neglected communities. We work in some of the toughest environments, in hard to reach areas, with communities affected by conflict or discrimination, and where others don’t currently tread. We work with incredibly brave and courageous communities who won’t give up in front of adversity and will do everything they can to improve the life chances of their children.
So with your gift today you now share with us, and with them, an equal determination, a commitment and passion to see their children get the fair chance in life that they deserve. So once again, on behalf of the communities we work with in Afghanistan, DR Congo, Liberia, Sierra Leone, and the Tibetan Plateau of China, thank you for your commitment to Children in Crisis!
