School Fundraising

10 Million Children in Sub-Saharan Africa drop out of primary school each year.
Could your school help Children in Crisis change the lives of vulnerable children this year?

"Education is the most powerful weapon you can use to change the world." - Nelson Mandela

It costs approximately £19 to buy enough books and pencils for an entire class in Liberia. This same £19 is the boundary that prevents many children from learning. With the support of your whole school, both students and staff, Children in Crisis can train teachers, build schools and provide vulnerable children with an education in countries devastated by war.

By choosing to support our charity, you can be confident in the knowledge that the funds you raise for Children in Crisis will go towards providing education, healthcare and protection for the world’s most deserving children. The team at Children in Crisis will support you and your school throughout the year with fundraising advice and materials, as well as keeping you updated on our work.

Would you and your students like to help us change the lives of the world’s most vulnerable children this year?

How?

Select Children in Crisis as your school’s Charity of the Year, or just have a one-off fundraising event. We’re sure you have loads of ideas of how you could raise money, but here are a few suggestions.

Have a mufti day at your school, and raise money for Children in Crisis   Charity Mufti Day
If everyone donates £2 to come to school in their own clothes your school could raise enough vital funds to make a life changing difference to countless children around the world.
Hold a talent show and raise money for Children in Crisis   Talent Show
Discover the hidden talents in your school, and put on a show. Through selling tickets it can be an effective and enjoyable way of raising money.
Hold a cake sale, and raise money for Children in Crisis   Cake Sales
The classic cake sale, held on its own or as part of a fete, is a great way for young people to learn about raising money for charity.
Children taking part in sponsored events to raise money for charity   Sponsored event
Sponsored walks / sponsored silences / sponsored runs … the list is endless! Get created and get your family and friends to sponsor you.

What could your money do?

£270 could provide training on gender equality for Girls Club leaders in rural Liberia.

£1.80 could provide a child with pencils and exercise books for a year in Afghanistan.
