Exciting news, Harbour and Jones have just signed up a tremendous team of 12 to take part in Children in Crisis’ 5 Countries Cycle Challenge 2011. Taking place on 1 – 4 July, it will be our most extreme cycle challenge yet: 383km in three days!

In June 2010, a team of employees from Harbour & Jones participated in the Children in Crisis London to Paris bike ride.
With a few sore patches but huge smiles, Alan, James, Candice, Leo and Amanda crossed the finishing line at the Eiffel Tower to be greeted by the H&J welcoming committee and some well-earned champagne.

The team not only trained hard for the trip but they also spent 3 months fundraising. And we are so pleased to report that Team H&J raised £7,200 towards the work of Children in Crisis. They raised the money through fundraising at the different H&J sites and also asking their friends and family to donate via their just giving page.
Alan Beddie, Operations Director for Harbour & Jones said “What a truly fabulous experience and hopefully a platform for improved fitness! The organization of the event from sign up to the Eurostar home was impeccable and I am proud to have been part of something so worthwhile.”

Anna Cooper, Partnerships Manager for Children in Crisis said “We are absolutely thrilled that Team H&J raised so much for us through their cycle challenge. The bike ride was so much fun for all of us and the guys from Harbour & Jones were all such great team players. I hope they all sign up for next year’s Five Countries!”
