This external evaluation assesses the impact of the Our Words Library (OWL) project , our response to extremely poor literacy levels amongst remote, rural Liberian children.

The OWL project adopts an innovative approach, equipping under-resourced primary schools with libraries of child & community-generated stories. As well as training teachers, the project uses literacy champions to promote a 'literacy culture' within the children's communities, supporting all parents (regardless of their own literacy levels) to nurture their children's reading.
